We often don’t care to clean thermos bottles at the end of a tiring day. And if we simply keep the thermos flask without even pouring water in it, its guaranteed to see coffee stains the next morning and thermos cleaning procedures start failing to remove the stains from the bottle.
Follow these steps to get rid of the coffee stains on thermos.
King Thermos stainless steel tumbler is very easy to clean as it can be split into 5 pieces.
- Firstly fill the thermos with hot water – don’t fill it completely, but fill it almost 90%.
- Add some dishwasher detergent into the thermos. Note that dishwasher detergents are quite stronger than the regular ones and help in cleaning the stains.
- Now, close the lid and shake vigorously for 2-3 minutes.
- Open the lid and fill the remaining empty space with hot water, close the lid and shake again for the solution to be uniform and keep it the same way for almost 15 minutes.
- Open the lid, empty the thermos and wash it with hot water.
- Check if this has removed the stain. You can use a thermos cleaning brush to clean.
- Even if this has not removed the stain from the thermos, you can try cleaning it with white vinegar. If white vinegar is unavailable, you can make a paste of water with baking soda and use the same.
- Again brush with a thermos brush or a firm tooth brush to clean the stain.
- If required, repeat the above process 2-3 times until the stains are removed.
Note: Be careful while washing the thermos as not every thermos bottle is as strong as stainless steel thermos.
